Knit Rider is a very versatile 6 voice trigger sequencer with a fast, modern workflow. There are 4 bars in one pattern, every bar has 16 steps, each of which has 4 sub-steps, which makes it 256 steps per pattern. And there are 64 patterns in total ! This allows you to create very detailed patterns while retaining the intuitivity and speed of classic 16 step sequencers. Use the bar buttons to navigate inside the 4 bars. Hold a certain step – the bar buttons will now show the substeps in that step – press the bar buttons to edit the substeps.

Easily record sequences by tapping the voice buttons.

Active step feature allows you to set any number of steps you want to have independently for each voice (or for all voices at the same time). You can also deactivate individual steps in the middle of a sequence. All voices have mute feature and can be set to be in trigger or gate mode. You can also record the sequences by tapping on the voice buttons with adjustable quantisation. Jump feature allows you to repeat certain step of the sequence for all voices which is great for performance and non-linear playback of patterns. Knit rider can by master or slave when it comes to tempo and you can set the clock input ratio (it one clock is 1 substep, 2 substeps, 1 step or 2 steps). There is also FN button which gives you access to additional features for fast and effective workflow.

Better sound quality for cleaner recordings

Stereo pairs A and B each have dedicated level controls with signal indication and possible clipping warnings for the line input you are sending to. Channel A is equipped with 6.3mm (¼”) balanced jack outputs to minimize noise and ensure maximum quality when delivering to the sound system. Channel B outputs through a 3.5mm (?”) stereo jack, which can also serve as an additional headphone output. The dedicated headphone output provides high output power and includes a selection switch for listening to either A or B channels.

Smart signal distribution

The normalization of inputs makes it easier to distribute signals to some or all of the outputs. The MIX switch can blend Channel B into Channel A in stereo, opening up the module for several useful performance scenarios, such as pre-listening or simple stereo mixing.

Bullfrog is a classical subtractive synthesizer – it consists of several “modules” for sound generation – VCO, NOISE GENERATOR – and treatment – VCF, VCA/DELAY, as well as “modules” that generate control and modulation signals to control them – ENVELOPE GENERATORS and SAMPLE & HOLD. This module has a user reversible front panel and its function is determined via jumpers on the back.

GR1 is a single channel randomizer with Gate and Reset inputs, as well as Momentary and Latching outputs.

Randomization is defined on the rising edge of the Gate input.

The Reset input is asynchronous and will force outputs to 0. As long as the Reset input is high, the Gate input will be inhibited, which can be handy to control when to allow the random signals to be generated.

µGR2 is a dual version, with a Gate input and a single output per channel.

Each channel’s output can independently set to Latching or Momentary via jumpers on the back. The output from the top channel is normalled to the next Gate input.

GR1 or µGR2 don’t have to be used with Gates only, and will respond to Triggers, Clocks, and can even be used with the square output of a VCO to create digital noise, like in vintage computers or arcade games.

Our hybrid 1U front panels use the dimensions as defined by Intellijel, and the open slots make these compatible with cases using the Pulp Logic format.

Our 1U modules use a standard IDC power connector.
